Facade Improvements

 

The DC Office of Planning has published a comprehensive guide to storefront design.  Entitled “Thrive: A Guide to Storefront Design in the District of Columbia,” the booklet covers a variety of topics, including the principles of good storefront design, signs, doors, windows, transom windows, awnings, lighting, security systems, regulatory agencies and documents, and requirements for District funded improvements.  It is available on the agency’s website, www.planning.dc.gov.
