Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of any Main Street program. Except for the executive director, all the organization’s work is done by volunteers.

Volunteers are needed for a wide range of activities. Most volunteers work on projects organized by one of the four standing committees: Design, Economic Revitalization, Organization, and Promotion. Please see the appropriate pages on this site for descriptions of each committee, the types of projects the committees are working on, and contact information for the committee chair(s).

Volunteers can work on the same recurring activities all year long, or a single task on one occasion. If you want to help attract new businesses to our neighborhood, support existing businesses, encourage historic preservation in our community, or generally want to improve quality of life for your neighbors and yourself, Shaw Main Streets has a volunteer opportunity for you.
